A Prayer for Friendship
“Gracious Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the precious gift of friendship. You have shown us through Your Word that true friendship is a reflection of Your love—constant, faithful, and steadfast through all seasons of life. Help us to be the kind of friends who stand beside one another in times of joy and sorrow alike. Grant us the wisdom to offer honest counsel, even when it may be difficult to speak, knowing that the truest mark of friendship is faithful guidance born from love. Teach us to recognize false affection and deceitful words, that we might cherish only those bonds rooted in sincerity and truth. May we demonstrate genuine friendliness in our actions and words, showing ourselves worthy of the friends You have blessed us with. Give us hearts that remain loyal and devoted, friendships that transcend the bonds of family itself. We pray for courage to be vulnerable with our trusted companions, and discernment to choose friends of character and faith. Help us to nurture these relationships with the same care and devotion that You show toward us. In Jesus'' name, Amen.”
