A Prayer for Understanding God''s Grace
“O Lord, I come before Thee with a grateful heart, humbled by the profound gift of Thy grace. Forgive me for the times I have sought to earn what Thou hast freely given, striving in my own strength rather than resting in Thy merciful salvation. I thank Thee that my redemption is not by my works or merit, but through the infinite love of Christ Jesus, who purchased my freedom at great cost. Grant me the wisdom to understand that Thy grace is not something I can boast of or claim as my own achievement. Help me to embrace the truth that Thy strength is made perfect in my weakness, that when I am most broken and insufficient, Thy power is most gloriously displayed. Give me courage to glory not in my abilities, but in my dependence upon Thee. As I walk through trials and face my limitations, remind me that Thy grace is sufficient for every need, every struggle, and every season of my life. Fill me with faith to trust not in myself, but in the boundless sufficiency of Thy love. Transform my heart to live in gratitude for this unmerited favor, that my entire life may be a testimony to Thy amazing grace. Amen.”
