A Prayer for Strength Through Suffering
“O Father of all mercies and God of all comfort, I come before Thee with a heart heavy with the weight of present trials. When suffering threatens to overwhelm me, help me remember that these earthly afflictions are but momentary compared to the glory that awaits those who believe in Thee. Lord, grant me the grace to see my struggles not as strange or unexpected, but as a participation in the sufferings of Christ Himself. In bearing these trials, I am drawn closer to Him and His redemptive purpose. Help me to rejoice, even in tribulation, knowing that my present pain is working toward a far greater glory. Comfort me in my distress, O God, that I might extend that same comfort to others who suffer. Transform my brokenness into ministry. As Thou hast been faithful to sustain me through trial, use my experiences to strengthen the faith of those around me. Give me vision beyond my present circumstances to behold the magnificent glory that shall be revealed. Until that day, help me trust Thy goodness, lean upon Thy strength, and find joy in knowing that my suffering is never wasted in Thy kingdom. Amen.”
