A Prayer for Patience in Bible Study
“Gracious Father, I come before You seeking patience as I delve into Your holy Word. Help me understand that the trials and challenges I face while studying Scripture are not obstacles, but opportunities to strengthen my faith and draw closer to You. Grant me the perseverance to wait upon Your revelation, knowing that true wisdom cannot be rushed. Lord, teach me to rest in Your presence rather than fret over my slow progress or the prosperity of others around me. Help me fix my eyes on eternal hope, not temporal concerns, and give me the steadfast patience to wait for Your perfect timing in my spiritual journey. As I open Your Word each day, work patience into my heart so that it may reach its complete and perfect work within me. Let me lack nothing in faith, understanding, or devotion. Free me from anxious hurrying and anchor me in trust. May my Bible study become a discipline of waiting patiently upon You, growing steadily in faith, hope, and love. Guide my mind, enlighten my spirit, and perfect my character through patient, faithful study of Your truth. In Jesus'' name, Amen.”
