A Prayer for Children
“O Lord, we come before Thee with grateful hearts for the precious children in our lives. We thank Thee for their innocence, their wonder, and their pure faith that reminds us of Thy kingdom. Help us to welcome them as Thou didst welcome the little ones, never turning them away but drawing them close to Thee. Grant us wisdom as parents and guardians to nurture and guide them in Thy ways. May we train them with patience and love, instilling in their hearts the values and truths that will sustain them throughout their lives. When they are grown, may they not depart from the foundations we have laid. Keep us from speaking words of anger or causing them unnecessary pain. Instead, give us gentle spirits and discerning hearts, that we might discipline with compassion and lead them through admonition in the Lord. Help us to be living examples of Thy love and grace. Protect these children, O God. Guide their steps, guard their minds, and strengthen their spirits. May they grow in wisdom and stature, knowing they are loved by Thee and by us. We entrust them into Thy mighty hands. Amen”
